Every hero speaks, and thirteen heroes get new ability effects
Every hero has a voice now
- All sixteen heroes speak. Each has five lines for when you hire them, when they join the squad and when you click on them, and five more for when they fall. Varga growls “I smell blood.”, and Neven speaks in two voices, his own and his second head's
- Every attack and ability has its own sound right at the moment it lands: the five wet shots of Brakhin's Boiling Burst, the gong of Unarion's Zero Mark, the welding torch of Tobrin's Patch
And thirteen heroes got new ability effects, made the same way as the looks of Medva, Irveta and Mitsel last time
- Unarion, Golden Plumb: a golden plumb bob drops into the Zero Mark, and a dial cracked with gold lies under him with blue lightning running along the cracks until the taunt ends
- Akrion, Triangulation: his shots fly as glass needles and snap shut on the target like a sight, and the Benchmark Post rises on a survey mark
- Mendion, Kintsugi: liquid gold and porcelain mended with gold. When My Own Shard raises a fallen ally, eight shards come together into a whole plate
- Zarna, Off the Scale: the hard light of her face burns a single strip across the board, and the Crater beats like a heart
- Neven, Live Lamp: his Scream flies as a screaming face of light, and the whisper of his second head as two twisted filaments
- Tromir, Cracked Lamp: light bursts out of his wounds as if from a cracked bulb, and a white hand holds the enemy By the Scruff
- Marta, Mine Steam: steam, rust and brass. The Winch hook flies glowing on its chain, and the enemy she drags leaves furrows in the ground
- Tobrin, Weld Seam: his Patch sticks to an ally with a flash of welding, and the seam along its rim glows white, then cools to dark red
- Seyvar, Blooming Moss: seeds, sprouts and peach blossoms. His thorn bush rises from a fountain of green light, and Roots crack the ground under the attacker
- Varga, Grey Chase: a wolf spirit of the Grey clan leaps with her on The Drive, and three howling spirits rise behind her on Pack Howl
- Stavr, Call of the Wall: the rune circle with twisted horns now flares up whole on Alarm
- Brakhin, Bombardier's Boil: boiling acid from his glowing abdomen, drops that bubble in flight, and a ring of boiling acid when Defensive Spray throws enemies back
- Tenodra, Mantis Prayer: in Threat Pose a huge mantis of faceted light rises behind her
