Varga of the Grey clan is a she-wolf of the fourth generation that speaks. Her grandmother still remembered how people hunted wolves: with greyhounds and with drivers who ran the beast onto the shooters with their shouting. Now Varga is the driver herself. She runs the prey onto the pack, and the pack has never let her down
When the Grey clan began to go grey, the old ones went first. The Haze ate their memory and their scent and left empty mirror eyes, and the grey wolves went hunting their own. The Fangs have one law: the pack never abandons its own. Varga did not abandon them. She ran the grey ones down one by one, so that they would never have to remember what they had done
The last was her father. Varga drove him for three days and cornered him on the platform at the Lull, where the Lantern hung on its hook. There they locked together. The light of the Lantern blinded her father, and it did not let Varga go: her light went into the glass. They say her father lay down beside her and never got up again
She says little and speaks in short bursts, like orders on a hunt. She laughs rarely and without a sound, with her ears alone. Anything new she sniffs first, and when she listens she tilts her head. She counts the whole squad as her pack, even Unarion, who smells of nothing, and that annoys her. She respects Marta: the old woman never abandoned anyone either

Ability 1 · mana 70, starts with 20
The Drive
Varga leaps over the line to the most wounded enemy within 3 cells and strikes with her blade: physical damage and Bleed for 20% of her attack per second for 4 s
| Rank | From level | Damage, % of attack |
|---|---|---|
| I | 1 | 200 |
| II | 20 | 260 |

| Rank | From level | Attack speed, % |
|---|---|---|
| I | 30 | 20 |
| II | 55 | 30 |
| III | 80 | 40 |

Look
- a lean grey she-wolf on her hind legs: a human bearing on beast legs, up on her toes, always slightly crouched as if about to spring
- the leather hood of her trophy coat pulled up, ears sticking out through slits, yellow eyes, and her whole muzzle painted in red ochre, the mark of the Grey clan
- a human hunting coat taken as a trophy, long and too big, of worn brown leather with brass buttons, the sleeves torn off at the elbow
- a human bandolier across her chest, with trophies in the loops instead of cartridges: buttons, keys, tags and fangs
- her left foreleg was broken once and is held by an iron splint on rivets, the way the Fangs mend bones
- in her right hand a thin, long human hunting blade with a bone handle, the left hand free with the claws out
How to play
Put her to the side of the front line: The Drive leaps over the line and reaches the wounded shooter or mage behind it. Everyone hits her prey harder, so she wants strong hitters next to her, like Marta with her winch and Zarna with her line of light
When the squad starts losing its own, Pack Howl speeds up the rest. She is fragile, only 424 health, and after the leap she is alone among enemies, so she needs lifesteal or shields. A Stun right after her leap, anchored enemies and thick targets with no wounded nearby all work well against her
